I say learn how to make the site. At least the basics. One day your site may go down and you can not get a hold of someone to help you as fast as you need.
http://www.zymic.com/ is a nice site for someone starting out. They have a few free templates and they also have free hosting so you can see what is going on. The hosting may not be something for a live site just used for learning.
